Why Chiropractic is a Smart Choice
I’d like to share a story with you. I was at a surprise birthday party for the wife of a very dear friend of mine last night. After dinner and about an hour of jokes, my friend asks me to talk to one of the guests. Mary (not her real name) has a gymnastics school and used to be a gymnast herself.
She went to see a specialist who ordered an MRI and found that she had bulging discs in her neck. The bulging discs in her neck cause neck pain, tingling and numbness in the last two fingers of her right arm.
She allowed one of her clients, who is an internist, “adjust” her neck.
An Internist is a doctor who specializes in internal medicine not the spine. He then tells her she should never go to a Chiropractor because it could rupture her bulging discs.
I asked her who she thought had more training in spinal manipulation, an internist or a chiropractor. She agreed that a chiropractor did.
Why would she let someone who does not specialize in the spine mess with her neck?
After a brief testimonial from my friend who used to suffer with neck and back problems told her how after I started adjusting his spine he no longer suffers with neck or back problems.
He explained to her how I put him on this inversion machine as we were walking towards his workout room. An inversion machine allows you to hang from the pelvis freely without having to hold on.
I then adjusted his spine while he was “hanging upside down”.
About that time, my friend’s cousin walks into the workout room. He is a medical doctor and had three bulging (herniated) discs in his neck and gave his testimony of how I “fixed” his neck with Chiropractic adjustments and Inversion Therapy (hanging upside down).
The look on her face was priceless. It was one of those Kodak moments.
My friend and his cousin both suggested she get on the inversion machine and let me adjust her spine. They told her she would feel a lot better.
Did she get on the inversion machine?
To be continued. I have a patient to hang upside down and adjust… but I will be back to finish the story!
